The thought that Rick put into every aspect of designing and building our home is impressive. Things he could see that we couldn’t, like the light and design, which we enjoy every day, is incredible.
We love our home. It is extremely energy efficient. All electric, with a ground source heat pump, unique 2×6 construction, environmentally friendly building materials and minimal landfill waste generated during construction. There are many other features such as wide stairways, vaulted ceilings, wonderful use of windows, beautiful porches. The outcome is excellent.

I would recommend Rick without hesitation; he brings something very unique to the table. He has vision, smarts, and a passion for the environment and energy efficiency.

Rick built our house in 1992 and working with Rick was one of the most positive and enjoyable experiences of my life. His work ethic and sense of responsibility to quality work were without match. His knowledge of passive solar construction methods was amazing.

Rick brought several unique elements to our project. First was the strategic location of all the windows to harvest maximum solar exposure in the winter to warm the house, and to minimize exposure during summer time, to keep the house cool. Rick also used specialized materials and methods to prevent the loss of heat in the winter and retain cool air in the summer including insulating the foundation. These features provided a significant savings in utility expense year around.

There were no other builders in the Kansas City area using these methods at the time. We visited some of the houses he had built and we were very impressed both by the quality of the construction and the passive solar features of the houses.

I will absolutely recommend Rick Robson anytime to anyone. His knowledge of home building, especially passive solar construction, the quality of his work, his impeccable character and his hard work ethic are outstanding.
